Frequently Asked Questions for Actor Shoots!
-
Your headshot is your primary casting tool. It should accurately represent how you look today, convey your personality and casting type, and meet the technical standards expected by agents, casting directors, and production teams.
-
Most actor headshot sessions last between 60 and 90 minutes, allowing time for multiple looks, lighting setups, and relaxed pacing to achieve natural expressions.
-
Typically 2–3 outfit changes works best. We’re looking for a suggestion for a character. Casting will meet you half way if the look is right. Feel free to reach out if you’re unsure.
-
Solid colours and neutral tones photograph best.
Avoid busy patterns, logos, or heavy textures.
Bring layers (jackets, shirts, tops) to create variation.
Choose clothes that reflect the roles you realistically audition for.
Make sure everything is clean, pressed, and well-fitted.
If you’re unsure, feel free to send photos of outfit options in advance.

-
No. Retouching is kept natural and casting-appropriate — light skin cleanup, minor blemish removal, and tonal balancing only. Your headshot should look like you on your best day, not over-edited.
